Chicken Shawarma

Ingredients
  

For the chicken
  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast
  • 1 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 tsp white pepper powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp chili or hot sauce
  • 1 cup yogurt
For the sauce
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/3 cup yogurt
  • 1/4 cup tahini paste
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
For assembling
  • pita bread as needed
  • pickled cucumbers and onions as needed
  • fries as needed

Method
 

  1. Marinate chicken in all the ingredients mentioned above for 20 minutes and then cook in 2 tbsp of oil.
  2. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce and set aside.
  3. Microwave the pita bread for 20 seconds so it does not break while rolling.
  4. Add the sauce, chicken, fries, pickled onions and cucumbers to the pita bread and roll.
