Crispy Zinger Burger
Ingredients
For the Chicken:
- 4 pound boneless chicken thigh fillets
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1/2 tbsp onion powder
- 1/2 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tbsp black pepper powder
- 1/2 tbsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1/4 cup hot sauce
- 3 eggs
For the flour mixture:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup corn flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tbsp paprika
- 1/2 tbsp cayenne
- 1 tbsp Chicken bouillon powder
For Assembling:
- burger buns as needed
- iceberg lettuce as needed
- thousand island dressing
- American cheese
Instructions
- Season chicken with all the ingredients above and let it sit in the fridge for 2 hours or overnight.
- Combine all the ingredients for the flour mixture in a bowl and add 1 tbsp of buttermilk mixture from the chicken.
- Coat the chicken fillet in the flour one by one and deep fry until the chicken is fully cooked.
- Toast the burger buns, spread the sauce of your choice, place the fried fillet on top, add cheese and lettuce and enjoy!
