Chicken Tandoori
The dish is traditionally made in a clay oven but this airfryer recipe comes out great too
Ingredients
- 4 Chicken Leg Quarters
- 1 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1 tsp Crushed Dried Corriander
- 2 tsp Red Chili Powder
- 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1/2 tsp Ginger Paste
- 1 tsp Garlic Paste
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tbsp Vinegar
- 1/3 Cup Yogurt
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/3 Cup Ghee or Melted Butter
Instructions
- Make 3 slits on each chicken leg quarter so the chicken gets marinated all the way through.
- Marinate chicken in all the ingredients mentioned above for 1-2 hours or overnight.
- Burn a small lump of coal and put it in a small dish or foil and place it over the marinated chicken. Pour 1 tsp of oil over the coal to release smoke and cover with the lid for 15 minutes. (This will give the chicken a smoky taste)
- Place the marinated chicken in an airfryer or baking oven and cook at 380F for 35 minutes.
- Serve with Naan or Rice and enjoy!
