Chicken Tandoori

The dish is traditionally made in a clay oven but this airfryer recipe comes out great too
Servings: 2
Course: Main Course
Cuisine: Indian, Pakistani

Ingredients

  • 4 Chicken Leg Quarters
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Crushed Dried Corriander
  • 2 tsp Red Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 tsp Garlic Paste
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tbsp Vinegar
  • 1/3 Cup Yogurt
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/3 Cup Ghee or Melted Butter

Method

  1. Make 3 slits on each chicken leg quarter so the chicken gets marinated all the way through.
  2. Marinate chicken in all the ingredients mentioned above for 1-2 hours or overnight.
  3. Burn a small lump of coal and put it in a small dish or foil and place it over the marinated chicken. Pour 1 tsp of oil over the coal to release smoke and cover with the lid for 15 minutes. (This will give the chicken a smoky taste)
  4. Place the marinated chicken in an airfryer or baking oven and cook at 380F for 35 minutes.
  5. Serve with Naan or Rice and enjoy!
