Kashmiri Chai

A winter favorite tea

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 crushed cardamoms
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 3 tbsp Kashmiri chai leaves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • sugar as needed
  • crushed nuts as needed

Instructions
 

  • In a pan add 4 cups of water, cardamom, star anise, and tea leaves.
  • Let it boil on high heat for at least 25 minutes.
  • Add 2 cups of cold water and let it boil for another 25 minutes.
  • Add milk, heavy cream, and sugar as needed. Let it boil for 5 minutes.
  • Top with some crushed nuts and enjoy.
