Chicken Paprika

Course: lunch

Ingredients
  

  • 1 whole chicken cut it in pieces
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tbsp paprika
  • salt to taste
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp black pepper
  • 1 cup tomato paste
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp oregano
  • 3 tbsp sour cream

Method
 

  1. In a bowl mix flour, 1 tbsp of paprika, 1 tbsp black pepper, salt and coat the chicken with the mixture.
  2. Add oil to a pan and fry the coated chicken for 5 minutes on medium on both sides and remove from the pan.
  3. In the same pan, add onions, garlic, sugar, salt, 1 tbsp black pepper, 1 tbsp paprika and cook until onions are soft.
  4. Mix in the tomato paste, chicken broth, red pepper flakes, and oregano, stir and add the chicken. Cover with a lid and let it simmer on low heat for 15 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.
  5. In the end mix sour cream and serve over rice.
